I WENT TO MADRID LAST WEEK.
I WAS TRAVELING FROM COPENHAGEN TO SEE TWO FRIENDS OF MINE.

WHO ARE VERY MUCH IN LOVE.

THEY GOT MARRIED.
THERE WAS A SMALL WEDDING RECEPTION.

I WAS SITTING WITH FIVE FRENCH GIRLS WHO ARE FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE BRIDE.

BEFORE THE FIRST COURSE WAS SERVED EVERYONE WOULD TRY TO INTRODUCE THEMSELVES [...]

I AM JOANNA.

I AM A FIGHTER.
I ALWAYS STRAIGHTEN UP MY CLOTHES BEFORE DRYING THEM OFF.
I NEVER LET GO.

I AM BOTH AN ACROBAT AND AN ARCHITECT.
SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE IT IS STRANGE TO BE IN BETWEEN THOSE TWO WINDOWS.
I  FEEL FREE NOW.

I AM TALL.
I FELT EVEN TALLER WHILE LIVING IN BRAZIL.
I BECAME VERY AWARE, OF MY LONG LEGS.

I AM YOUNG, BUT NOT INEXPERIENCED.
I HAVE BEEN DANCING THE SAMBA A LOT.
I AM STRONG, BUT MY SOUL REMAINS SOFT.

I ALWAYS TRY TO STAY AS CLOSE TO MYSELF AS POSSIBLE AND DO WHATEVER IS RIGHT.

A LOT OF DECISIONS I MAKE ON AN UNCONSCIOUS LEVEL
I just feel when it’s the right thing to do.

THEREFORE I ALWAYS CALL MY FRIEND SONIATo make sure I’m not making a huge mistake.

I THINK IT IS HARD TO DESCRIBE IN WORDS WHAT I DO.

I AM CROSSING DISCIPLINES TO STAY CONNECTED TO THE SELF.

IT IS NICE TO MEET YOU ALL.

“Lido me.”
A short poem to which I danced while reciting in Ésacto'Lido May, 2020 as a part of the performative task.
